All the artists in the house are grabbing their sketchbooks and drawing the month away. As a fan of Halloween, Scary stories, and all things spooky I wanted to find a way to write, celebrate, and breathe life back into the blog.
Spook-tober
So, let me present to you:
31 days of scary, bite-sized stories
A Lonely Ghost
He was trapped between two worlds. It was a dull, tragic existence. He’d been driven and motivated when he was alive, but not now. He was bitter and bored. A burning desire for something more was building like an inferno.
He skimmed along littered, deserted streets, and brought an icy cold chill along wherever he passed. He wasn’t expecting to meet anyone during this loathsome journey, but there she was. An angel clad in leather and lace.
The compulsion was strong, his need all consuming. He drifted closer, a spark of red lighting his dead, soulless eyes.
She was frozen, terror gripped her heart as an icy wind chilled her body, and dread crawled down her spine.
He advanced, exhilarated by her delicious terror. He wrapped his incorporeal arms around her and felt something he hadn’t felt in years. He felt alive!
He pulled her closer, and she screamed.
He brought his frozen lips to hers, breathed in her intoxicating scent, and cocooned in her warmth as the life drained from her body.
She tried to pull away in panic, and she screamed once more as she glimpsed her lifeless body sprawled on the pavement.
“I’ve been waiting forever for this,” he said. “Welcome to your eternity!”
In a flash he dragged her into the void. Her spirit fingers gripping and tearing with nothing to cling to.
