Smoldering
I was walking home late one evening and met him in a dark alley. I knew he had ill intentions the moment I saw him. He preyed upon helpless women who were unlucky enough to be down this particular street alone.
Fortunately for me, I wasn’t a helpless woman, so I was in no danger from him. He was unaware of that fact, so I waited for him to make his move.
“Don’t move or I will kill you,” he said.
The laugh that dropped from my lips was sweet, but with a deadly edge to it. He dropped my hands in shock and started to back away.
“Oh, dear, did I frighten you?” I asked. “You humans are like children, really. You think you’re strong and tough until something jumps from the shadows. Especially if what jumps is a bombshell like me.”
He tried to back away down the alley but I was faster. I hooked his hand behind his back and slithered my body around him and nibbled on his ear.
“Let me go,” he said. “I’ll go straight. The fun is gone anyway.”
I laughed again and whispered in his ear, “That’s what they all say,” I said. “I’m not making that mistake again. Besides, I think you’ll enjoy my methods…”
I pushed him up against the wall and kissed him. I touched his face as the life force started to drain from his body. His eyes grew wide as his body reacted to my touch, but his life seeped away.
I dropped his body to the ground and walked away with a smile on my face.
It was a good night.
The women of the city get justice, and I get fed. It’s the perfect arrangement!
