Hidden Danger
He enjoyed his evening walks. They were peaceful–quiet, and he got to explore without having to dodge copious bodies and the fuss and worry of daily life.
He enjoyed being alone at night, but he got a special thrill when he met someone else on his midnight ramblings.
Most of the individuals he met were up to no good–dangerous criminals murderers, and thugs, and those that weren’t urged him to find safety indoors for his own safety.
His slight frame and small stature always seemed to be a sticking point, but he smiled, thanked them for their concern, and continued on his way. He knew they were disappointed, but he had a secret.
They never knew this young man was a greater danger to any of them than any of the many sickos they could encounter. It was their kindness that saved them–nothing more.
The kind souls walked free, the dangerous ones were hunted to increase his own pleasure.
He found himself peckish and spied somone lurking in the shadows to rob him just ahead.
He marched on as if unsuspecting of a thing. The man attacked and he smiled.
His fangs descended and the man screamed as his knife fell harmlessly to the pavement and he drank his fill!
