Adventure Gone Wrong
If you’re reading this, my life has come to an end, and you should heed my warning. This area is cursed and anyone who treds these grounds is in danger.
My time is limited, but I will refrain from being cryptic so no one else will suffer the same fate as me.
We were looking for an adventure, but instead we found her. She met us in the woods and offered shelter and comfort. We decided we could stay a while, because she appeared lonely.
It was the last thing any of us would do. She protects this land from careless tresspassers and idiotic party-goers. We were neither, but we wandered further off the trail than we meant to.
We haven’t wandered far now. We are her captives, and she is sacrificing us one by one to repent for our transgressions. I am the final one remaining. I’ve appeased her as long as I could, but it’s the full moon tonight…she saved me for last because she requires an unsoiled maiden.
My life is ending because I chose to wait until marriage.

He dropped the charred piece paper on the floor and backed up as a bent old crone advanced on him.
