Day 6
I hadn’t completely lost the rational part of myself. I skirted the edge of the hill, and made my way around the fire, slowly. The blaze itself wouldn’t hold the answers I sought, even though the crackling conflagration captivated me fiercely.
I needed to work my way back to the point of ignition if I was to be free of this obsession. A purple haze threatened to envelop me as I approached, but its existence held great promise.
The fire left scorches on the ground, but surrounding buildings were left unmarked. Something beyond reason was at play here, and I—for whatever reason—was called to discover it.
