Day 30
I leaped into nothing, the log was a figment of my imagination. I hung in the air for a moment, and came down hard on my already injured ankle.
I swore, and scrambled to my feet—was anything I experienced real? When had I lost touch with reality—or had I never been?
I felt my muscles locking up in my lower legs, and felt my steps slowing. I struggled against it, but it was a losing battle.
Laughter echoed around me, and my vision started to dim.
This challenge was rigged from the start!
