Once Upon a Midnight

Once upon a time, on March 12, 2004, there was a girl in need of help. No one else came to her aid except for a fairy. This fairy came at midnight to her backyard.
The fairy claimed that it knew what she desired and would help her for one little, itty bitty favor…
The favor was murder.
The girl was hesitant at first, but once the fairy gave her gentle assurances and placed a magic wand in her hands, the girl relented and received the instructions:
In two days and two nights, head down to the park at 2:50 AM and step into the fairyring at the foot of the park’s mountain, hold the wand up and chant the words, ‘Give me my freedom, give me my voice, go with me in tandum and give me your choice!”
The girl only had one question to ask, “Who do I bring with me in tow?” The fairy didn’t answer and her face went pale.
But, despite this, the girl followed the instructions to the letter, walking over to the fairy ring at the foot of Calleen Hill behind the park named after it.
Alone, she looked her watch, seeing it was 2:55 AM, she goes to raise the wand and takes a deep breath to steel herself a moment before repeating the chant she was given.
At first, nothing happens, was 2:55 too late? Was she supposed to bring someone after all? Just before her mind could spiral, a cold pain took the breath out of her lungs, with her body collapsing onto the ground after.
The mushrooms of the ring formed into teeth, with a maw swallowing her body. The night stood still for 3 more hours until another fairy ring forms at the backyard of her family’s home. Instead of a fairy, the desperate soul had conversed with a changeling instead.
This fiend appeared with her face and name, returning to the family with a happy smile on her face, seeming rid of her life crushing problems.
