Casualty:
- An accident, especially one involving serious injury or loss of life.
- One who is injured or killed in an accident.
- One who is injured, killed, captured, or missing. in action through engagement with an enemy.
After looking at this so many times, there’s nothing that I witnessed that I could call such a thing. Why? Because of one thing; None of them were human, let alone were they killed by
“accident”.
Who were they and why were they treated in such horrid ways?
I’ll never know fully, for I only met one of them briefly. But, I have been thinking a lot about them and the others that had fallen under the CEO’s judition. You see, I work for the company,
“Shelfen Inc.” Which I once thought was a harmless Toy Company that created these rather uncanny dolls that came in the, “Be-witched Darlings” set, that the masses loved.
But, when they came out with this new set called, “Hologram Sweethearts” that was when things went downhill.
These were life-sized—no, double that, almost—animatronic type dolls that gave me the heebeejeebees.
So, imagine my utter surprise when I see one of these supposed
“Dolls” running away from security guards.
Unlike the clunky movements I’ve seen of them in the advertisements, this one, Mathmaria, ran so fluently that my body stilled, and I dropped the clipboard in my hands. She didn’t look back, but I saw her cornered and soon dragged away with her friends to a restricted part of the building.
After that, the Hologram Sweethearts were canceled and a
new project was taken their place. The name?
“Spectre Lovelies.”
God help me, for I’m scared to ask what happens when employees are “Promoted.”
