Spook-tober 2025, Day #13

Death’s Siren by Amber Averay

I hear his call on the breeze

Offering silence and gentle reprieve;

A whispered word, a promise of rest.

My heart beats strong within my breast;

I can’t deny the siren’s call,

The need to give in to the fall

Let him take my soul and soar,

Give in to Death, settle the score.

That musical sound draws me along,

And I give in to the Siren’s song.
