Whispers in the Silence

Nothing. Not a sound. Do you hear them? I don’t blame you if you don’t.
They are spirits. Memories. Playing the same scenes over and over again. Forever trapped in the places that once brought warmth, but now could barely hold the shivering winds of winter.
They dance, sing, talk, but do not utter a single sound.
Move with them and find the secrets that they hold. You will be surprised on what you find because of them.
You don’t believe me? I understand, I really do! Who would believe in that hash-posh? Heh,I barely believe it myself.
But, please listen to me for I bring a warning as well: Never go against the flow. They will disappear if you do. If you were to find them that is. Not only that, but the house itself will catch you too. You will never leave if you disobey the dreams it tries to rekindle.
There’s a reason why these spirits exist, hypothetically for your case of course, no? If they existed, then that means the house itself is alive, or trying to be.
It’s the same way for smaller objects – like dolls or mirrors. They carry aspects of a soul, or more, that lingers within the host longer than it is made obvious.
It is more common within smaller objects, but with enough souls and people that linger, larger objects will gain some sort of conscious that will be able to identify from friends to threats.
So, what will you do with this information? Pretend to care enough to go with it, or just ignore me and go on with your life?
Either way, you are not leaving anytime soon, are you?
