A Fortnight of Lust: Day 2

Beach

By Dominick May

With the new golden hue of the morning, a figure climbed out of the dark ocean. The morning sun hit the long and wet strawberry red hair. Her skin was smooth and soft with a slight tan, Her bare feet left light prints in the sand as she came up to the young prince that had washed up on to the beach.

“Now, where did you come from?” She spoke as she kneeled down to check his heartbeat. The pulse was faint at best, and would fade soon. Lowering down close, her soft lips brushed across his as she breathed life into his lungs.

The prince drank in the life’s breath. His hands rose and held her bare shoulders as he pressed his lips back onto hers. His eyes opened as he let the wondrous kiss go.

Coughing lightly, he spoke, “ You must be an angel as I know I am dead from the sinking of the ship I was on.”

“I have given you life, as you are attractive and will have you. If you stay on this island, you will die.” She spoke this with a serious look. “Now, remove your clothes, as we must return to the ocean, If you choose not to come, I will take back what I’ve given, and leave you to die.”

The prince thought hard and removed his shirt but then stopped. “I think you should embrace me and take back the life you have given to me. Let me die with the memory of your embrace.

He stood shirtless with arms open, waiting for what was to come.

She came up close carefully to see the betrayal that she knew would come. As she wrapped her arms around his. His hands clasped around her back and he pressed his lips firmly onto hers. He gave back the life she had given him and what was left of his own.

He spoke his last words, “Now you are my angel,” he said with a smile and passed on.

She laid his still form upon the sand and shaking her head. “ I do not understand humans.” She then turned back and stepped back into the sea.
