Spook-tober 2025: Day 17

Lunar Pulse Leo Driver Above the open roof, the moon shone in a golden hue, lighting up the ballroom below with the softness of a parting kiss. Dust lined the marble floor, but light imprints of heels and dress shoes were fresh from the memory that lives on every night.  Translucent bodies dance underneath theContinue reading “Spook-tober 2025: Day 17”

Bestie Beasties Leo Driver “Haaai Bestie!!! ” I squealed in utter excitement upon seeing my friend from across the room, running straight to them with a skip in my step. “Haaai! Spook-tober 2025: Day 12

Once Upon a Midnight Leo Driver Once upon a time, on March 12, 2004, there was a girl in need of help. No one else came to her aid except for a fairy. This fairy came at midnight to her backyard.  The fairy claimed that it knew what she desired and would help her forContinue reading “Spook-tober 2025: Day 12”

Spook-tober 2025: Day 4

Unwanted Guest I have seen things for as long as I can remember. Things others would say didn’t exist—spirits. Most of the time they just pass through. Day 26 I was enveloped in a warm sleepy haze, but fear clawed at my gut. My eyes snapped open as a purple haze began to ensnare me. I sprang to my feet. “You’re not playing fair!” Insidious laughter followed me as I bolted for home.

Day 16 “As entertaining as this all has been—you are mistaken, and horribly misguided,” the voice hissed. I jumped and stumbled against the wall. “What do you want from me?” I asked. “Why am I here?”

Day 12 I was able to crawl to my feet after some time and begin to  properly explore the room in which I was being held. The floorboards were solid yet rough from the constant skittering of claws. No windows adorned the walls, but I could make out the dim outline of a door acrossContinue reading “Spook-tober 2024”

Day 10 I willed my body to move, and was only served more pain for my trouble.  I was angry now! Panic fled from my core, and the rats scurried away as my heels slammed  into creaking wooden floor boards. “Why are you keeping me here?” I screamed. “No one is going to believe aContinue reading “Spook-tober 2024”

25 Days of Terror

Day 12 Harmless It was a bright, sunny day and she found herself in an equally cheery mood. There was a light spring in her step as she walked through the park. She expected to see others out and about enjoying the beautiful weather, but the park was completely deserted. It was odd, but sheContinue reading “25 Days of Terror”
